Buffalo Subaru News
July 8th, 2011
West Herr Subaru, your Subaru dealer serving Buffalo is proud to announce two new prestigious honors for our 2011 lineup.
In a new JD Power and Associates study, our 2011 Subaru Legacy ranked second in the “Midsized Car” segment, while our 2011 Subaru Outback tied for second in the “Midsize Crossover/SUV” segment. In their annual Initial Quality Study (IQS), JD Power and Associates named the top three vehicles in each segment based on responses from more than 73,000 drivers of 2011 models within 90 days of ownership.
That 90-day benchmark is important; a driver’s determination of “initial quality” has been shown year after to year to predict the long-term durability and reliability of a vehicle. The IQS is used throughout the auto industry to help manufacturers design and build better vehicles that are more suited to consumers’ needs.
Having two high-ranking vehicles means that Subaru is delivering the quality drivers in Buffalo and across the United States have come to expect from our lineup.
The award-winning 2011 Subaru Outback, a top choice in the “Midsize Crossover/SUV” segment, balances roominess and capability for Buffalo Subaru drivers, and shoppers are noticing—sales of the Outback have steadily increased so far this year.
Perhaps it’s Lineartronic Continuous Variable Transmission on the 2.5i models, which enable automatic mode to instantly adjust to meet acceleration requirements, saving fuel and eliminating need to shift to maintain momentum.
Or maybe it’s the impressive list of safety features that has drivers so satisfied with the 2011 Outback at your Subaru dealer serving Buffalo. This IIHS “Top Safety Pick” is made of high-quality materials that maintain structural and keep passengers safe during impact, diverting energy of impact away from riders to offer further protection. In addition to standard front and side airbag features, the Outback also comes with a rollover feature that ensures that airbags have deployed in the event of a vehicle rollover.
The 2011 Subaru Legacy has had an impressive year, too. Aside from being named a top vehicle in the “Midsize Car” segment by JD Power and Associates, it too has seen a steady rise in sales—drivers everywhere are choosing the Legacy.
At West Herr Subaru, we know why. One big draw is the 170 horsepower, 2.5-liter aluminum-alloy 16-valve Subaru Boxer engine. The i-Active Valve Lift System equipped with the engine helps the Legacy achieve 31 highway miles per gallon and 23 city miles per gallon, outstanding fuel economy that is turning heads across the board.
As with all Subarus, safety is a huge draw for Buffalo shoppers. On the 2011 Legacy, standard safety features include Brake Assist, tire pressure monitoring and traction control. Vehicle Dynamics Control, which uses sensors to monitor tire speed, steering angle, brake pressure and lateral g-forces, is also included standard. The VDC system has the ability to increase or reduce whatever is needed to correct any irregularities in driving patterns during use.
Stop in to West Herr Subaru today to take our 2011 Legacy or 2011 Outback, tops in their respective segments, for a test drive. Call 716-662-3565 to discuss details, financing or leasing with a member of our friendly staff at your Subaru dealer serving Buffalo.
